SMARTS Summer Camp isn't just a place for fun activities — we're a childcare program dedicated to supporting your child's growth and development. SMARTS summer program is packed with activities catering to a wide range of interests. Each session is designed to entertain and educate. Here's an overview of our popular camp programs.

STEAM Summer Day Camp Program

Our STEAM day camp program is designed to spark your child's interest in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. With engaging activities like Kool Math and interactive technology-based projects, this program aims to ignite curiosity and develop problem-solving skills in children of all ages. Children will be able to discover the wonders of math, experiment with technology, and participate in hands-on activities that challenge them to think critically and creatively.

Dance Camp Summer Program

Our dance camp allows children to explore different dance styles in a supportive and fun environment. The curriculum includes ballet, hip-hop, and jazz classes, where children learn the fundamentals of movement, rhythm, and self-expression. Throughout the day camp program, your child will learn new dance techniques and gain confidence, discipline, and teamwork skills. At the end of the summer program, students will participate in a theatrical program that displays their new skills.

Drama Camp Summer Program

The Drama Camp is perfect for children interested in performing arts and storytelling. Through this camp, children develop their imagination and creativity while enjoying the collaborative process of bringing stories to life. Participating in our drama camp can help your child build public speaking skills, confidence, and a sense of camaraderie as they work together to perform in group scenes.

Field Trips

Field trips are an exciting part of the SMARTS Summer Camp experience. Campers will enjoy field trips throughout the summer, one of the highlights being trips to Six Flags America. These excursions allow children to leave the classroom and explore the world around them, reinforcing the skills and knowledge they've gained at camp.

ALL students will be required to purchase a Six Flags Season Pass. The cost of the Season Pass is not included in the weekly tuition fee or field trip fee.

SMARTS students will attend Six Flags every Friday during summer camp. Each Friday, students will alternate their Friday activities at Six Flags between the water park only and rides only. The specified activity will be noted on the “Field Trip Schedule”.

Camp Attire

Theatrical Attire

Summer camp students will present a theatrical production in full costume. Costumes must follow our summer camp theme. Said costumes will not be ordered for your children if a deposit is not received. Students will receive a costume for their jazz, hip-hop, and tap routines. Please note all costume deposits and fees are non-refundable and/or non-transferable.

SMARTS Summer Camp T-Shirt

All students are required to wear a SMARTS camp t-shirt on every field trip. Summer Camp t-shirts must be preordered for this summer. Summer camp t-shirt “order forms” will be emailed to you so you can place an order.

Pre-ordering your child’s summer camp t-shirt will ensure your child(ren) receives the appropriate size t-shirt. Camp t-shirts are available for $25.00 per shirt. Students will not be permitted on any field trips without a camp t-shirt after June 21, 2024. In the event your child(ren) arrives at camp without a t-shirt, you will be notified immediately.

Dance Ready Attire

To be permitted to dance class, students must wear the appropriate attire during dance instruction. Students must report to camp fully dressed in their dance attire. The dance attire may be worn under their regular clothing.

The attire for girls consists of black leotards, ballet flesh-tone tights, flesh-tone ballet slippers, black tap shoes, and black jazz sneakers. The attire for boys consists of black shorts with black t-shirts, black tennis shoes, black tap shoes, and black socks.

Summer Camp Meals

Parents should provide a breakfast snack that does not require cooking or heating. This may include cold cereal, breakfast bars, fruit, or prepared and warmed food. Parents should also prepare a bag lunch daily unless otherwise noted. Lunches should be stored in an identifiable lunch bag with the child’s name. Please be advised that students will not have access to refrigeration or a microwave.

SMARTS will provide students with an afternoon snack. Please note that SMARTS refrains from serving snacks with NUTS. Please provide plenty of water for your child each day.

Summer Camp Cost & Fees

SMARTS Summer Camp requires a minimum commitment of four consecutive weeks. Tuition fees are due the Friday before the commencement of class on Monday. Tuition payments can be made weekly or biweekly.

There are no full-payment discounts available at SMARTS Summer Camp. There is no reduction in fees for temporary absences, including those caused by the student's accident or illness.

Please note that the weekly tuition fee does not include field trip expenses. Field trip fees are additional. Locations will be determined in May based on availability, safety policy, and venue procedures.

Hours Of Operation

The core hours of operation for SMARTS Summer Camp are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Before Care hours are 6:30 am - 9:00 am. All students reporting for before care and camp MUST be checked in to Camp by 8:45 am.

All students participating in After Care MUST be picked up by 6:00 pm each day. There is a $30.00 babysitting fee per child for every 15-minute interval and/or $2.00 per minute after 6:00 pm. This fee must be presented upon pick up of your child. If the child is picked up late three (3) times, the child will be released from the program for the remainder of the Summer Camp.
