There’s a desperate need to provide children with safe, educational activities and opportunities in Washington, D.C., and beyond. The goal of SMARTS in the City is to contribute to that, getting kids excited about learning, gaining understanding, and obtaining the help they need to build their confidence in and out of the academic world.

What Is SMARTS in the City?

SMARTS in the City is an after-school program offered in and near Washington, D.C.  Offered at multiple schools throughout D.C., our program is focused on enriching young minds. Our qualified educators have a passion for helping children with various activities, including (but not limited to) homework help, tutoring, painting, entrepreneurship, personal finance, coding, sports, and robotics.

Why Enroll Your Child in After School Enrichment?

Many children only formally learn the basics of certain important subjects in elementary school, middle school, or high school. SMARTS in the City provides academic support in STEM subjects and other areas so children can receive guidance in a comfortable setting with peers who share their interests.

We also provide children with a safe place to go after school where they can receive the educational assistance they want or need. The program helps them excel, develop their creativity, and feel more confident about their abilities. These activities open up a world of possibilities to children who may not have otherwise had access to them until later in life.
