FOCUS AREAS

Assistance is given to students on missed assignments, completing their homework, and personalized instructions to clarify or reinforce key concepts taught in class. Academic assistance is provided to students based on need in reading, math, and science.

Students receive extra instructions through participation in the staging of a theatrical production, where all production tasks include enrichment activities designed to strengthen reading, math and science skills and character build- ing. They stage a full production performance for the community at the end of each school year. Academic enrichment opportunities also include hands-on science or technology programs, community service, and weekly field trips. Dance, performing arts, and cultural activities to support student learning and development are also included.
